has more than 10 years of experience as publications specialist – as multimedia practitioner, managing editor, layout artist, bilingual writer, editor and translator. He is a specialist in book and publication design and layout and is knowledgeable in both conventional and digital print production process. He has an extensive experience of involvement with various government agencies and non-government organizations. He had worked with government agencies such as the Constitutional Consultative Commission, the Department of Agriculture, among others. He was with the Institute for Popular Democracy (IPD) as a publication officer in early 2002. His most recent foray (2009-2010) into the world of publishing was with the AEG pUBLISHING, an international firm based in Florida, USA as a Print Manager for its online publishing in both paper and e-book format. He set up in 2007 the rightclick Design and editorial Services that caters to a wide array of editorial and graphic art needs. Olan served as the Publications / IEC development specialist for The Red AVP he wrote, edited and produced various materials for the target beneficiaries of the project. He was the assistant project manager for the recently concluded consultancy engagement of WeDpro with the UNFA, leading the research teams in Lanao del Sur, Bohol and Ifugao. He also continues to do volunteer work for WeDpro in other capacities. He went to the University of the Philippines in Los Banos where his activism flourished and his writing skills honed.
