Maria Ana Santiago


is an IEC specialist doing publication, research, policy analysis and campaign consultancy work for NGOs, GOs, corporate and cultural bodies. She has served as Pulse Audience Research Coordinator at ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation, Information-Communication Officer at Isis International Manila, and in a very short stint, she insists, as Communication Officer for the GRP-CARHRIHL (Comprehensive Agreement on Respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law) Joint Monitoring Committee. She majored in BA Economics at the University of the East-Manila and studied creative writing through various literary workshops. Her latest publications include editorial work for Oxfam Pilipinas’ Banyuhay: Mga Hamon at Pagbangon ng Kababaihan sa Panahon ng Ondoy and a short story contribution for Talong/Tahong, an LGBT erotica anthology. She’s presently reconfiguring her social media engagements and tweaking her tumblr blog. She has volunteered for WeDpro since 2005, and is currently involved in the UNFPA-supported external evaluation of VAW centers as team leader for Maguindanao.
