Lolita Santos


has worked with non-profit organizations for more than two decades, mainly as administrative and finance officer. She has worked with WeDpro on and off through the years in various capacities. She worked at the Division Office Quezon City Hall, Quezon City as Accounting Clerk. Between 1991-1998, she was the bookkeeper of KALAYAAN, Inc. (Katipunan ng Kababaihan Para sa Kalayaan Inc.), the mother organization of WeDpro; in 1998-2002. Lita worked with the Women Worker’s Credit Cooperative (WWCC) as part-time Bookkeeper, and in 1994-1996 in the Group of Ten (G-10, Inc.), a funding window developed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) with the women’s movement in the early 1990s. In 1997-she joined DIWATA, Inc. (Development Initiatives for Women’s alternative and Transformative Action, Inc.) as administrative assistant. In 2009, Lita joined WeDpro on a fulltime basis and since then co-coordinates the Administrative and Finance Unit. Early widowed, she supports her growing number of grandchildren. She took up Nutrition at the Philippine Women’s University. She is the Team Leader for the UNFPA project for the province of Eastern Samar.
